Stevie WonderStevland Haraway Morris (ne Judkins) was born on May 13, 1950. He is known as Stevie Wonder and is considered as a pioneering musician, and has had an influence on musicians from various genres from blues to jazz to gospel, soul to jazz. The synthesizers used by Wonder in the 1970s and other electronic instruments led to the creation of R&B virtually a one-man-show. Wonder also contributed to the push of these styles into the album era, crafting his LPs as unison and consistent, in addition to socially conscious statements with complex compositions. Wonder was blind since his birth was signed to Motown's Tamla label when he was 11. The label gave him the professional name Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's critical acclaim was at its peak in the 1970s. His "classic period" began in 1972 when he released the albums of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter with "Superstition" It is among the most distinctive and famous instances of the sounds of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. The Grammy Award for Album of the Years was taken by Innervisions (1973) The Fulfillingness's First Finale (1974), and Songs in the Key of Life (1976). He is tied for third most Album of the YEAR wins. Wonder is the only artist who has won the award with three consecutive albums. Wonder's "commercial period" began in the 80s.
