Columbia Police Department officers were constantly searching for Sims who had been missing since Christmas. They were also able to detain Taylor Wardlaw in connection with his death. According to officials, Eddie Brown (30), was indicted as an accessory to the murder. Sims 26 was last seen on Dec. 20 on Ervin Street in Columbia. His girlfriend, Wardlaw, reported him missing on Dec. 22, according to police. It was reported that the body of Sims was found this week near Monticello Road. Naida Ruterford the Richland County Coroner announced that the body had been located. Skip Holbrook from Columbia Police reports that Wardlaw was charged for the killing of Sims, as well as possession of firearms during an violent offence.
