Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports around the teenager age. Aspen Ladd trained in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd kept building on her victory on the night of Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She finished all of her opponents in the first round. Then she returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was already beaten by Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking her revenge on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and prevailed over her with a unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to make her record 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her professional d but. Aspen faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her for a 1st-round TKO. The next time she fought, she won in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. Aspen then fought at the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Her superior wrestling abilities has smashed McGill in the first round, and she managed to finish her opponent in the 3rd round through TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not have enough weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut took place on UFC Fight Night 118 at which point she took on Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina with a ground and pound advantage in 2nd round. She continued to dominate and won a dazzling victory when she fought Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd defeated Evinger in the opening round and got a performance of the evening bonus. Her debut fight was when she fought her second opponent in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's win was a majority verdict, and also her Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a replacement, she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
